Loader crane overturn
A loader crane overturned in Aberdeen Scotland on Friday, injuring the operator.
The crane a Palfinger mounted on a four axle truck owned by transport company R&F Campbell, was apparently lifting a forklift truck into or out of a premises on Cotton Street in the city, when it overturned, trapping the operator. He was quickly released, but was taken to hospital by the emergency services. We understand that his injuries are not serious.

The crane overturned onto an outbuilding
The crane’s outriggers we fully retracted at the time and the crane was lifting over the side. The boom tip landed on the roof of a shed as the load hit the ground, saving it from going further which might have resulted in more serious injuries. The Health & Safety Executive was alerted to the incident and says that it is investigating.”
Two All Terrain cranes from local crane rental company Global Port Services were called in to recover the overturned vehicle.
