Two more Demags for Scholpp
German rental company Scholpp Kran & Transport has taken delivery of two Demag All Terrain cranes, a 700 tonne AC 700-9 and 300 tonne AC 300-6.
Both cranes were
ordered last year along a 220 tonne Demag AC 220-5 All Terrain crane. The AC 300-6 will be used for a range of jobs including work on tower crane installation and bridge construction projects.

Managing partner Martin Scholpp said: “The Demag AC 300-6 impressed us above all with its unique and flexible combination of range and performance. With the 80 metre main boom fully extended, it still lifts up to 15 tonnes. This makes it the perfect assist crane for the assembly and disassembly of tower cranes.”
Head of operations and Stuttgart regional manager Stephan Burkhardt added: “The crane can handle jobs up to 78 metres high or within a radius of 74 metres without a jib - this is really sensational.”
Established in 1956, Scholpp employs over 150 and has a fleet of around 60 cranes. The company is headquartered in Stuttgart, with depots in Karlsruhe, Heilbronn, Böblingen and Ludwigshafen.
