Utility VP for Sims
US based Sims Crane has appointed Thomas Baldree as vice president of operations for its utility division.
Baldree began his career with Sims in 1998 as an apprentice crane operator having spent the first five years of his career running his own company, he then rose steadily through the company as Orlando branch manager, regional area director, general manager and executive vice president of operations. He then left the company in October to join his wife’s company, Baldree Pools, a commercial and residential swimming pool contractor, before re-joining Sims last month.
In his new job he will manage the sales team and work with major public utilities and contractors involved with power related work

Speaking of his new role he said: “While I enjoyed my eight month break from the crane industry, I found I really missed the business and the people at Sims. Not only does Sims have the best equipment in the southeast, they continue to invest in people and advancements. I am glad to be back and part of the team that advances and dominates the crane industry in Florida.”
Vice president of marketing Dean Sims added: “We are delighted that Thomas has returned to Sims. He is a strong leader, with the upper management capabilities we need to continue growing our utility division.”
