First Liebherr for MGA

UK rental company MGA Crane Hire has taken delivery of a 40 tonne Liebherr LTM 1040-2.1 All Terrain crane, the company’s first new Liebherr crane.

The two axle LTM 1040-2.1 features a 35 metre main boom and can handle 7.4 tonnes on the fully extended boom and or take 1.1 tonnes to its maximum radius of 31 metres. The crane is also equipped with Liebherr’s VarioBase outrigger setup system.

Business development manager Gareth Tinsley said: “We are delighted to add the Liebherr LTM 1040-2.1 to our ever expanding fleet of mobile cranes. This is just the first step of a 10 year vision for the company. Exciting times ahead!”

Family run MGA Crane Hire is based in Manchester, with two other depots in north western England. The company employs 30 and previously purchased used cranes from Liebherr, while its fleet also contains All Terrain cranes from Tadano, Demag and Terex, as well as Böcker truck cranes.
