A telehandler lifting a suspended load overturned in New London, Connecticut, yesterday with the boom and its load landing in the street which was open to traffic.

Although the incident occurred shortly after 8:00 in the morning, traffic on the road alongside the job site was light however and an no member of the public was involved. The machine a JCB is owned by United Builders Solutions was lifting a batch of roofing beams suspended by canvas lifting slings.

The operator managed to escape with no serious injuries and no one else on site was affected. Two heavy duty wreckers were brought in to recover the machine.
The recovery underway
An investigation has been launched.
