Liebherr for Altida

UK rental company Altida Crane Hire has taken delivery of a 50 tonne Liebherr LTC 1050-3.1 city type All Terrain crane.

The new crane, the company’s first Liebherr, has been ordered with a full specification including a 1.5 metre jib, VarioBase outrigger set up and elevating cab. The basic specification includes a 36 metre main boom, 13 metre bi-fold swingaway extension, allowing it to lift to 48 metres and maximum working radius of 39 metres.

Altida’s new Liebherr LTC 1050-3.1

Managing director Lee Fletcher said: “We are extremely pleased to take delivery of our first new Liebherr crane. From founding the company just four years ago, we see the introduction of our 20th mobile crane in service to date, the LTC-1050-3.1, as a great milestone. The customer support we have received from Liebherr is second to none. Having such a large UK based service team on call proves a massive benefit for us as a rapidly expanding company. After recently visiting the manufacturing facility in Germany, it is clear to see that Liebherr is far in front of any competition and truly is the Rolls Royce of our industry.”

Established in 2015, Atilda is based in Chesterfield, Derbyshire and runs a fleet of All Terrain cranes with capacities ranging from three to 160 tonnes.
