Another German acquisition for Kiloutou

French rental group Kiloutou has acquired German powered access rental company Werner Middeke Arbeitsbühnenvermietung.

The company is based in Erwitte between Dortmund and Paderborn in North Rhine-Westphalia, it also operates from branches in Erfurt, Münster and Holzwickede, with a fleet of 530 platforms, including self propelled boom and scissor lifts, along with trailer lifts, spider lifts and truck mounts up to 58 metres. It also runs a fleet of telehandlers and forktrucks. In total it employs 50 staff across the four locations.

The latest acquisition follows acquisition of Paderborn based M+S Arbeitsbühnen in June and reinforces the company’s presence in the region. The deal is subject to regulatory approvals but is expected to close by the end of the year. Once completed the operation will be integrated into the Kiloutou Germany operation.

Kiloutou group chief executive Olivier Colleau said: “This acquisition is fully in line with our development strategy in Germany, which aims at strengthening our presence in high potential areas. It also illustrates our ability to federate around our development project, quality regional stakeholders with a strong local presence. IN this way we plan to be present in the major area of Germany through selected acquisitions. I would like to warmly welcome the new team members from Werner Middeke Arbeitsbühnenvermietung into the Kiloutou group. ”

Werner Middeke Arbeitsbühnenvermietung’s founder and managing director Werner Middeke added: “We are delighted about the acquisition of our rental network by the Kiloutou. It will enable our teams to contribute to the fast growth of the group with our strong knowledge of the high potential market in the East Part of the North Rhine Westphalia and Thuringia. I personally believe in the Kiloutou development project on the German market and I am pleased to see that our team and our clients will benefit from new investments and a wider and newer range of aerial work platforms”.

The expansion in Germany is part of the group’s international expansion programme, which over the past six years has taken it to Poland, Spain and Italy as well as Germany. Only last month it acquired Italian rental company Sticar of Padua.
