Kranpunkten continues eco drive
Swedish rental company Kranpunkten has ordered 20 Ruthmann truck mounted lifts and Versalift van mounted platforms as part of its drive towards a more sustainable fleet.
The order includes a number of 30 metre Ruthmann TB 300s, as well as 12.5 metre Versalift ETL-32-125 van mounted platforms. All units feature low emission Euro 6 diesel engines that can use HVO100 fossil free renewable diesel as the company continues to
reduce its impact on the climate.
Six truck and van mounted platforms have been delivered to the company’s depots in Gothenburg and Stockholm with the remaining units scheduled for delivery throughout the year.

Kranpunkten purchasing manager Rikard Jönsson said: “We are constantly working to replace older machines and vehicles to models that meet the market's environmental and business requirements. With the new truck mounted platforms we increase the proportion of vehicles with emission class Euro 6 and receive the latest technology in internal combustion engines. The truck mounted platforms will also be powered by fossil free fuel, in accordance with our previous decision that all diesel-powered machines and vehicles should be refueled with HVO100.”
Based in Förslöv, southern Sweden, Kranpunkten operates a fleet of aerial work platforms – including a fleet of truck and van mounted platforms – telehandlers, forklifts, spider cranes, glass robots and personal/material lifts from depots in Uppsala, Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malmö.
