Another crane fire
A five axle All Terrain caught fire while travelling on the road last week in Tyab, near Mornington, Victoria Australia. It had just crossed a rail track when the incident occurred.

The fire was blamed on a faulty hose, with the fire starting in the engine compartment behind the cab and spreading to the superstructure. Train services in the area were suspended because of a fuel and hydraulic oil spill close to the tracks.

The crane was severely damaged, as was the road surface. The crane was recovered the same day by Membrey’s Transport & Crane Hire.
