Platform Hire Centre adds to fleet

UK access rental company The Platform Hire Centre has taken delivery of 22 boom and scissor lifts in an order worth £430,000.

Part of a fleet expansion programme, the order includes eight 10 metre Manitou VJR 100 mast booms, two each of Niftylift’s 43ft HR15, 50ft HR17 and 63ft HR21 boom lifts and two 51ft Genie Z51 articulated boom lifts. It also includes six slab electric scissor lifts, including four 32ft Skyjack SJII 4632s and two 40ft GS-4047 from Genie.

Sales director Kieron Williams, said: “We opened back in 2016 with 30 second hand machines. Four years of continued growth later and we now have a fleet of more than 150 machines. We are currently in the process of expanding our workforce with engineers and HGV drivers and plan to invest a further £500,000 in our rental and delivery fleet in 2021.”
