Johnson Arabia adds spiders

UAE crane and access rental company Johnson Arabia is adding spider cranes to its rental fleet with the delivery of a number of Maeda cranes.

The initial order includes one of every model in the Maeda spider crane line, which ranges from the 995kg MC104C through to the 8.09 tonne MC815C, including the 1.72 tonne MC174C, the 2.83 tonne MC285C, the 2.98 tonne MC305C and the 3.83 tonne MC405C. The range offers maximum lift heights between 5.5 to 25 metres and lower loads up to 21 metres below ground level.

The company said the decision to add these units to its fleet was driven by a growing demand from its customers for mini cranes, pick & carry cranes and vacuum lifters in the construction and oil & gas industries as well as stand building at the Expo 2021 event next year, where there will be no room for larger cranes.
