€40m order for Liebherr
German crane rental company MaxiKraft has placed an order for 34 Liebherr mobile and crawler cranes totalling €40 million.
Part of its fleet renewal project for 2020, the order includes an 800 tonne LR 1800-1.0, 1,000 tonne LR 11000 crawler crane and a 750 tonne LG 1750/2 lattice boom truck crane aimed at wind turbine applications.
All three lattice boom cranes have been supplied with the latest systems for wind turbine installation including luffing jibs and special boom configurations. The LG 1750/2 has been supplied with the SX3 boom system which allows the crane to lift turbine sections weighing up to 127 tonnes to a height of up to 165 metres.

Maik Kanitzky, owner of the MaxiKraft, said: “Wind power is on an upward trend in Germany and we want to be right at the forefront of it. That is why we are investing in the highest performance cranes with the latest technology which are currently available on the market.”
Founded in 1992 by Malik Kanitzky as a one man business, MaxiKraft is now comprised of five subsidiaries which operate from 23 sites throughout Germany. The company runs a fleet of more than 200 All Terrain and crawler cranes with capacities ranging from 25 to 1000 tonnes and has invested in 660 Liebherr cranes to date.
