Two new Liebherrs for Würzburger

German rental company Würzburger Kranverleih und Bergungsdienst has taken delivery of two new Liebherr All Terrain cranes with a two axle 30 tonne LTM 1030-2.1 and a five axle 100 tonne LTM 1110-5.1.

The new LTM 1110-5.1 features a 60 metre main boom topped by a 10.8 to 19 metre bi-fold swingaway extension, while optional inserts take the maximum tip height to 97 metres. It replaces a 19 year old 100 tonner and was selected most for its longer boom. The LTM 1030-2.1 offers a 30 metre main boom plus a 15 metre bi-fold extension and replaces an early LTM 1030-2.1 and brings a massive change in technology.

Company owner Ibrahim Kücükdag said: "The LTM 1100/2 has served us well for almost 20 years, but the new crane offers many advantages. Its 60 metre telescopic boom is eight meters longer, and the variable support base Vario Base opens up completely new application possibilities."

Würzburger Kranverleih is family owned and employs 30, while two of Kücükdag sons and a daughter already work in the business. It runs a fleet of 12 cranes, 10 of them from Liebherr. Kücükdag said: "Our Liebherr cranes range from 30 to 220 tonnes, with all of them having the same operation and crane controls. This allows us to deploy our drivers with great flexibility. In addition, it simplifies planning when someone falls ill."
