Bronto fire platform for Texel
The Texel fire brigade in the Wadden Islands, off the Dutch coast in the north of the Netherlands, has taken delivery of a 32 metre Bronto F32RPX truck mounted fire rescue platform.

Texel’s new Bronto F32RPX
The new platform is mounted on a three axle Scania P-series chassis and has been sold and delivered by Bronto Skylift’s local distributor, Kenbri Fire Fighting. It has a 500kg maximum platform capacity and is equipped with a permanently mounted folding stretcher carrier in the platform for rescuing injured people. Maximum outreach is 24.3 metres with its nine metre jib, and it can reach four metres below ground level.

The unit has over 24 metres of outreach and a nine metre jib
The minimum outrigger width is just 2.8 metres, making it ideal for setting up in narrow streets, they can also extend up to 5.4 metres with long stroke boxed jacks. The unit is equipped with a hydraulically driven fire pump with 4,000 litres flow per minute.

The stretcher option
Texel is the biggest of the Dutch Wadden islands and boasts a fire department with around 60 volunteers who live and work on the island which has around 13,500 inhabitants.
