Schuch in for Liebherr

German crane rental company Schuch has taken delivery of three Liebherr All Terrain cranes with a 50 tonne LTC 1050-3.1 city type and two 60 tonne LTM 1070-4.2s as part of a fleet renewal project.

The three axle LTM 1070-4.2s feature a six section 48 metre main boom topped by 9.5 to 16 metre bi-fold lattice swingaway extension which takes the maximum tip height to 67.5 metres and offers up to 40 degrees of offset. The LTC 1050-3.1 offers a 36 metre main boom and a 13 metre bi-fold swingaway extension. Maximum tip height is around 51 metres and it has a maximum radius of 39 metres. It was ordered with the height adjustable crane cab and the new RemoteDrive remote controls.

Both cranes are supplied with Liebherr’s Variobase automatic variable outrigger set up system and have been specifically ordered for Schuch’s Frankfurt, Karlsruhe and Kaiserslautern depots for work on commercial, industrial and residential construction.

Schuc managing director, Tim Schuch, said: “It is important to keep our crane fleet up with the very latest crane technology to ensure that we can provide our customers with the best possible service. Liebherr is an important partner in this respect. We have been buying from Liebherr for 35 years. Firstly, the quality is impressive and secondly, Liebherr continuously develops innovative crane technology which moves the crane industry forwards. Controlling the chassis by remote is a really great innovation for constricted sites or inside factory buildings. At the moment, it is only available from Liebherr.”

Schuch operates from ten locations across Germany. The divisions of the Schuch Group include crane rental, heavy transport and machinery moving. The company runs a fleet of over 200 machines with capacities ranging from 30 to 500 tonnes, including All Terrain, crawler and loader cranes.
