Two Liebherrs for Emsley

UK rental company Emsley Crane Hire has taken delivery of a 130 tonne Liebherr LTM 1130-5.1, with a 110 tonne LTM 1110-5.1 scheduled to follow shortly.

The five axle cranes both feature a six section 60 metre main boom plus a 10.8 to 19 metre lattice bi-fold swingaway extension, which can be added to two seven metre lattice extensions, to offer a maximum tip height of almost 96 metres. The LTM 1130 can travel with nine tonnes of counterweight and hook blocks within 12 tonne axle loads, while the LTM 1110 can travel with 11.3 tonnes of counterweight, its swingaway extension and hook block. It can also meet 10 tonne axle loads with its counterweight and extension removed. Both cranes feature Liebherr’s VarioBallast and VarioBase systems.

Emsley's latest Liebherr 130 tonne Liebherr LTM 1130-5.1

Technical director Tom Emsley said: “Liebherr cranes are a hugely important element of our fleet and the VarioBallast and VarioBase features provide us with a great degree of versatility. We are also very pleased with the technical support which we feel is a very important factor in purchasing any new cranes. We are looking to buy two more Liebherr cranes later this year.”

Established in 1947, family owned Emsley runs a fleet of All Terrain, truck, city type and mobile self-erecting tower cranes from its locations in Harrogate and Doncaster.
