Six Liebherrs for Forsyth

UK crane rental company Forsyth of Denny has taken delivery of two Liebherr All Terrain cranes - a 70 tonne LTM 1070-4.2 and a 110 tonne LTM 1110-5.1 - with a further four Liebherr cranes set to follow in the coming months.

The four axle LTM 1070-4.2 has a 50 metre main boom and features a 9.5 to 16 metre bi-fold swingaway extension. Features included the company’s VarioBase variable outrigger system, a refinery kit and the ability to travel with all its counterweight within 14 tonne axle loads.

Forsyth of Denny's new LTM 1070-4.2


The LTM 1110-5.1 is the first to arrive in Scotland and features a six section 60 metre main boom plus a 10.8 to 19 metre lattice bi-fold swingaway extension. Features include a Stage V engine and Liebherr’s VarioBase Plus technology, which combines the VarioBase system with wider rear outriggers for increased capacities. It can also carry all 29 tonnes of counterweight within 16 tonne axle loads.

The LTM 1110-5.1 is one of six Liebherrs scheduled for delivery in 2021


The remaining cranes scheduled for delivery include a 90 tonne LTM 1090-4.1, a 120 tonne LTM 1120-4.1 and a 500 tonne LTM 1500-8.1. The company has also ordered a second hand eight tonne MK 140 mobile tower crane.

Based in Denny, Scotland, Forsyth of Denny has two further depots in Scotland - Irvine and Earlston - as well as a location in Enniskillen, Northern Ireland. The company currently runs a fleet of 35 All Terrain and crawler cranes as well as a fleet of transport and haulage vehicles and is the UK distributor of Eng tower cranes.
