Swedish low level access manufacturer Safelift has appointed sales company Lift Safe as its distributor for the UK.
Established in 2001, Lift Safe offers a wide range of material handling equipment, including mobile lifters and stackers, pallet trucks and good lifts from its location in Oldham, greater Manchester. It represents manufacturers such as Italian material lift manufacturer Armanni and counterbalance crane producer AA Group. The Safelift range of low level platforms is the company's first entry into the aerial lift market, with the manufacturer's products including 5ft PA35 and 10ft PA50 push around mast lifts and a 10ft MA50 self-propelled model.
The self-propelled MA50 offers a working height of up to five metres with a 180kg platform capacity. Weighing just 380kg, it has an overall width of 760mm, a length of 1.2 metres and a stowed height of 1.64 metres. Features include a 12 volt/75Ah battery pack, a work tray, automatic brakes, a USB socket and 1.2 metre turning circle.
The push around PA50 offers similar performance capabilities as the MA50 but weighs slight less at just 320kg, while the PA35 offers a 3.5 metre working height with a 130kg platform capacity. Weighing 223kg, the PA35 offers slightly smaller dimensions - 700mm width, one metre length and a stowed height of 1.6 metres - as well as a smaller a 12 volt/9Ah battery pack.
Lift Safe managing director, Jerry Hanss, said: “We have added personnel lifts to our product range in response to demand from our customers. We researched the low level access market to find a partner who met the criteria for all our products – they must be high quality, easy to maintain, and hassle free for the end user. Safelift therefore fits extremely well with our existing product portfolio.”
“Our clients already understand the safety and productivity benefits of using our equipment to lift goods. Replacing ladders and podiums with equipment that lifts people is the next logical step in that journey to a safer and more productive workplace.”
