Sunbelt USA has announced three acquisitions, Ross Aerial Equipment in Arizona, American Aerial Equipment in Massachusetts, and DC Rentals in Connecticut. The first two were concluded in April, while the DC Rentals deal was apparently done in February.
The Ross deal was signed towards the end of April, and the business, which is based in Phoenix with branches in Dewey and Tucson, has already been incorporated into the Sunbelt network. It was established by Ross Richards in 1994, and runs a fleet of scissor and boom lifts as well as telehandlers.
A statement from Sunbelt said: “With the addition of new aerial work platform locations in Phoenix and Tucson and a general tool & equipment location in Dewey, Sunbelt Rentals can better serve the greater Phoenix, Tucson, and Flagstaff markets by providing an effective rental solution for any project or job, including infrastructure, residential or commercial construction, facility maintenance, or homeowner applications.”
Ross Richards added: “I am proud of what we have achieved in the past 26 years. My team has created a true market force, and we have had a long standing commitment to providing the highest quality aerial fleet and unparalleled service to our customers. By partnering with Sunbelt, we are confident that this commitment to excellence will be further enhanced with an extensive rental fleet offering, supported by Sunbelt's industry leading culture of customer service and safety."
Around the same time in April Sunbelt also acquired American Aerial Equipment, which is based in Attleboro, Massachusetts on the northeast edge of Providence, Rhode Island. It also offers a range of aerial work platforms and telehandlers, but covers Massachusetts and Connecticut.
Finally, in February the company acquired DC Rentals of Brandford, located on the eastern edge of New Haven Connecticut. As with the other two acquisitions, it also rents a range of aerial lifts and telehandlers, but covers the Hartford/New Haven region.
