New HQ for Felbermayr
Austrian crane, access rental and heavy transport company Felbermayr has moved into new headquarters in Wels, Austria, 18 months after work on the facility began.
Located 30km from Linz, the new facility features three large halls covering a total of 18,000 square metres. The first will be house the company’s transport and lifting equipment, while the other two will be used as a maintenance and service workshops for its rental fleet, including a a wash station and paint shop.

Its headquarters also features 9,000 square metres of office space, spread over three floors - enough for to 250 employees. Solar panels located on the roof will generate around 500,000 kWh of power annually, there will also be 10 fuel pumps located on site.

Chief executive Horst Felbermayr, said: “We have made a good start. I’m very pleased that the relocation has now also been successfully completed. I can hardly put into words what has been achieved here with the involvement of our employees in the transport and lifting technology and construction areas.”

The central workshop covers more than 9,000 square metres
Felbermayr operates a large crane and aerial work platform rental fleet, while offering heavy lift and transportation and moving services from 72 locations across 19 European countries. It employs around 2,750 and had revenues of €492 million in 2020.
