Eight RTE Snorkels for Loxam

Loxam Denmark has taken delivery of eight battery powered Snorkel Rough Terrain scissor lifts, launched earlier this year – see: All electric RTs from Snorkel.

Supplied by Ahern Denmark, the order consists of four 33ft S3370RTEs and four 39ft S3970RTEs. The Snorkel S3370RTE offers a working height of 12 metres and a 454kg platform capacity, while the larger S3970RTE offers a 13.8 metre working height and a platform capacity of 350kg.

Both models feature non-marking Rough Terrain tyres, four wheel drive, and an oscillating axle. The machine's levelling jacks can auto-level on side slopes of up to six degrees and longitudinal slopes of up to 10 degrees. Power comes from two 5.75kWh lithium-ion battery packs with a built in battery management system, which the company claims delivers at least eight hours operation on a single charge.
