Dutch international crane and heavy transport group Mammoet has ordered eight new Tadano (Demag) cranes, including two 650 tonne CC 38.650-1 (previously the Demag CC3800-1) lattice boom crawler cranes.
The big crawler is rated at a 12 metre radius and comes with a 171 metre main boom and 193 metre maximum tip height.
The rest of the order is made up of a 45 tonne AC 3.045-1 City crane with an E-Pack electric power pack, and five Tadano GR Rough Terrain cranes. The company also ordered a Boom Booster kit for its Demag/Tadano CC cranes.
The order was placed during a visit by a Mammoet delegation to the manufacturer’s plant in Zweibrücken.
Tadano’s European chief executive Jens Ennen said: “Needless to say, we’re very happy that Mammoet decided on our products for this large order, and this has, of course, strengthened our business relationship as a result.”
Jan Kleijn and Peter van Oostrom of Mammoet added: “We too are very happy to continue our partnership with Tadano. We’ve been following the developments at Tadano very closely and think the company is on the right track with its OneTadano strategy.”
