Swiss rental company Maltech has purchased 50 Multitel MTE 270 EX telescopic truck mounted lifts.
The new machines have a 27 metre working height plus an outreach of 17 metres with 80kg in the platform, while it can take its maximum capacity of 230kg to an outreach of 12.8 metres. Mounted on 3.5 tonne chassis, the new platforms have been ordered with a high specification, including Multitel’s MUSA system, which monitors outrigger positions, load in the platform and turret slew position and then automatically calculates the resulting working envelope. It also incorporates a telematics remote communication connection.
The machines, which were purchased through Multitel distributor Skyworker Trade, will be delivered over the next few years, with deliveries completed by 2025. Skyworker recently organised a visit to the Multitel plant for Maltech’s technical and other staff, for training and familiarisation. The first four units were handed over during the visit.
Maltech said that it chose the Multitel Pagliero machines for their reliability, new technology, after sales service and its service engineer training programmes. It also cited Mutlitel’s willingness to meet any special requirements.
Maltech was established as a painting company - Armin Hunziger - in Zurich and purchased its first truck mounted lifts in order to improve safety and efficiency when painting at height. In 1971 it adopted the Maltech name and began to rent platforms out to other trades on a professional basis. Today the company offers its services from more than 30 locations across Switzerland.
