Staplerwelt Süd becomes ATG

German company Staplerwelt Süd has changed its name to ATG to better reflect it is now an aerial lift, telehandler and forklift sales, service company, rather than just a forklift supplier.

Based in Bietigheim-Bissingen, near Stuttgart, the company has been managed by Andreas Konstantin, 46, since May when he took over from Nico Zimmer. This is not the first time the business - which was established as Stapler-Rent 2000 in the year 2000 - has changed its name. The change to Staplerwelt Süd was made in 2016 when its rental business was acquired by Zeppelin and incorporated into its network. See: Zepplein acquired Stapler Rent. The rest of the company continued to operate under the new name selling and supporting new and used machines including Merlo telehandlers, Genie aerial work platforms and Ausa Rough Terrain forklifts.

Andreas Konstantin announces the name change

Andreas Konstantin joined the company in 2010 and was promoted to a director/authorised signatory in the spring of 2018. Speaking of the latest change he said: "ATG Lift/Staplerwelt Süd has undergone a complete transformation in recent years. From the original forklift and platform rental company, we have developed into the trade and service provider in the areas of telescopic forklifts, aerial work platforms and Rough Terrain forklifts in southern Germany."

“Instead of concentrating on forklifts in the name, this development towards a service provider for all aspects of access technology is now also to be reflected in the company name. The, A stands Arbeitsbühnen/work platforms, the T for Teleskoplader/telehandlers and the G for Geländestapler Rough Terrain forklifts. As far as customers, suppliers or business partners, nothing will change except for the name.”
