UK rental group AFI has ordered 100 new 13.5 metre Versalift VTL135F 3.5 tonne van mounts for its Facelift van mounted fleet.
The Versalift VTL135F offers one of the best outreaches on the market at 8.4 metres with 120kg in the basket, while the maximum platform capacity is 230kg, available at an outreach of up to seven metres.
AFI says that the additional outreach makes it ideal for infrastructure jobs which are low to the ground but difficult to gain direct access to, such as behind walls or roadside signage. The unit also features a jib with 140 degrees of articulation. All vans are equipped with an onboard ultraviolet disinfecting light that will destroy up to 99.9 percent of germs.
AFI-Uplift David McNicholas said: “Since we made the decision to purchase the original order of Versalift VTL135 van mounted platforms we have seen exceptional customer demand and excellent feedback about the product. This latest order demonstrates our confidence in the market and the product as we seek to service customers who support the maintenance of the UK infrastructure.”
Andy Bray of Versalift UK added: “This second order for VTL’s from AFI and Facelift shows real commitment and confidence in the product. We are delighted to be working closely with them as they continue to expand their rental fleet.”
