Álvaro González 1974-2021

We have received the tragic news that Álvaro González, an IAPF training instructor with Alo Rental in Chile due to complications related to Covid-19. He was just 46.

His career began when he joined Alo in the mid-1990s, initially as a workshop based service engineer at the company’s Gorbea branch. In 2002 he was given the responsibility of quality control and became a full time training instructor in 2006, becoming a fully-fledged IPAF international instructor with the setting up of Alo Training,

Alvaro Gonzalez

Over the years González trained hundreds of operators, spreading the culture of safety and working hard to raise safety standards when working at height throughout South America.

The company has said: “As a gesture of the recognition we all have for this work and dedication, we are renaming classroom number one of our training centre as the Álvaro González training room. Thus, the presence and memory of the most important instructor of Alo Training will remain forever present in our training centre”.
