Eurolev acquires AS Manutention's platforms

French rental company Eurolev has acquired the aerial work platform activity of Alsace-based crane rental company AS Manutention and opened two new locations in the region, one in nearby Colmar - its 18th location - and now a depot in Strasbourg, its 19th.

AS Manutention was set up in 2015 and based in Biesheim on the Franco German border to the east of Colmar, with another location in Strasbourg and one in Amiens in the north. The aerial lift fleet is not large and apparently comprises 30 scissor and boom lifts, which join Eurolev’s 2,000 unit fleet. It does though provide Eurolev with a toehold in the Alsace region. The company has now opened its second location in the region in the port area of Strasbourg.

AS Manutention was established in 2015 and decided earlier this year to focus on its crane and heavy transport activities. It runs a fleet of All Terrain cranes topped by a new 750 tonne Liebherr LTM 1750 acquired last year.
Eurolev is on a major growth programme, expanding its fleet and market coverage, last April it acquired spider lift and spider crane rental company Atna. The plan is to create a truly national network and now covers the Paris area, the North East, North West, Bordeaux, Toulouse, Montpellier, Marseille and Lyons.
