BKL to distribute Sáez

Spanish tower crane manufacturer Grúas Sáez has appointed BKL Baukran Logistik - BKL - as its official dealer in Germany and the German speaking markets.

BKL is based in Munich and runs a fleet of 500 tower cranes which it rents all over Europe. Going forward it will exclusively sell new cranes from Sáez and provide the full support for the products including technical training, replacement parts, repair and maintenance.

The formal contract was signed by chief executive Laura Canovas Sáez and BKL owner and chairman Alexander Volz in Murcia, Spain last week. Laura Canovas Sáez said: "Grúas Sáez has been active worldwide for decades. With the support of BKL as a firmly established dealer, the Sáez brand has optimal conditions to become even more established in the German and Austrian markets."

Alexander Volz added: "In Grúas Sáez we have found a strong partner who meets our high quality standards for machines and service. The cooperation contributes to the sharpening of the BKL construction crane portfolio and is part of our successful growth strategy for the European market."

Both companies in this deal are second generation family run with more than 50 years of history. Grúas Sáez was established in 1965, in Murcia in south east Spain. It has representation in more than 30 countries.

BKL employs around 300 at locations in Munich, Ingolstadt, Rosenheim, Frankfurt am Main, Hanover and Hildesheim, is one of the largest independent suppliers of cranes in Europe. In addition to its tower cranes, it operates a fleet of 100 mobile cranes ranging from 30 to 700 tonnes and 15 mobile self-erecting tower cranes.
