Manitou acquires service company

Manitou has acquired one of its Italian authorised service and repair companies - Gi.Erre - in an all share purchase deal.

Based in Castelfranco between Modena and Bologna, Gi.Erre was established just before the millennium and covers the Emilia-Romagna region for telehandlers and aerial lifts offering parts, attachments service and maintenance as well as used equipment sales and rental. Revenues last year were €3.6 million from a single location with 14 employees.

Maxime Deroch is responsible for Manitou’s Services & Solutions division and said: “Gi.Erre has extensive expertise, and their technicians know our products inside out. We are proud to be bringing all of the teams into the Manitou group. With this acquisition, the sustainability of the service activity in the region is ensured."
