Retail crush incident

A woman working from a scissor lift in a Supermarket in Chur, Switzerland was injured on Monday, as she relocated the lift while elevated.

The woman, 52, was taking removing or changing overhead sign boards and displays with the help of a 20ft Haulotte Optimum 6 slab electric scissor lift. As she reversed away from a checkout to move on the next sign it seems she struck an overhead beam/partition, suffering a serious neck injury.

She was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital while the Graubünden cantonal police are investigating the incident. No details of her condition have been released.
