Smaller Navigator

UK manufacturer Metal & Modular will launch its latest push around manually powered scissor lift at the Executive Hire Show in Coventry, England next week.

The 8ft Navigator 4.5 has a working height of 4.5 metres with a platform capacity of 150kg and an indoor/outdoor rating. It is considerably more compact than the company’s first model the six metre working height Navigator 6.0 unveiled at last year’s show.
Overall length is 1.05 metres with an overall width of 720mm, while the total weight is just under 300kg.

The platform falls within the machine’s overall dimensions at 750mm x 680mm. Platform elevation is the same as its larger brother with a geared crank wheel aided by gas struts.

The company will also unveil a new version of its original machine, with some of the steel structural components replaced with aluminium, in a bid to reduce the overall weight from 600kg to closer to 500kg.
