Dutch international rental company Riwal has formed a partnership with the training specialist Blom Opleidingen for the provision of training courses for aerial platform operators and users.
Between them the two companies have 26 locations providing training courses, as well as offering on site courses for customers. The partnership will also allow the two companies to offer their customers additional courses, as they exploit their individual strengths.
As to their customer contacts etc.. nothing changes, they simply place their training requests as in the past or with whichever company they have the closest contact.
Blom Training is one of the largest trainers in the Netherlands covering warehouse material handling equipment such as forklifts, training more than 30,000 students a year at 21 locations across the Netherlands. It is also an IPAF member and currently offers PAL training on booms and scissor lifts.
Glenn Verburg of Riwal said: “In recent years we have seen that scalability, focus and professionalisation are important for our customers and for Riwal as an organisation. With this partnership we can also realise these facets in the field of training. This way, both parties can focus on their core tasks and especially what they are good at. The customer is the biggest winner in this. We are convinced that this collaboration will take our services to an even higher level."
Maarten Dullaert of Blom Opleidingen added: “In the coming years, Blom training wants to grow considerably in the number of students to have more impact on safety in warehouses, during installation work and on construction. The partnership with Riwal not only gives a major boost to the growth in the number of students, but due to the acquisition of three specialist instructors. Riwal’s extra locations allow an even wider range of course dates.”
