New premises for Thanet

UK rental company Thanet Crane Hire has opened a satellite branch in Herne Bay, following last year’s move to a new headquarters facility coupled with further fleet expansion.

Based in Kent, the comapny moved into new premises last year on a trading estate in Headcorn, in a triangular area between Maidstone in the north, Ashford in the east and Tunbridge Wells in the far west.
Additions to the fleet in 2022 included a 40 tonne two axle Liebherr LTM 1040 2.1, a 60 tonne three axle Grove GMK 3060L and another six tonne Böcker 46/6000. It has taken a 36 tonne Fassi mounted on a new Mercedes Arocs truck chassis which is ADR compliant for transporting hazardous or dangerous goods.

Operations director Jack Stickings said: “2023 is shaping up to be another busy year for Thanet, in March our monthly revenues topped £400,000 for the first time. We are committed to investing back into the business and development and career progression for our team. Our people have always been our strength. We have also recently opened a new satellite location near Herne Bay so we can better serve our customers in North Kent.”

"We have also achieved the international quality standard ISO 9001, showing that our customers can rely on us to provide consistently high quality services, thanks to our robust background management systems.”

Thanet Crane Hire was founded in 2008 and offers crane rental, haulage services, traffic management and auxiliary equipment rental.
