Platformers done

This year’s Platformers' Days, on Friday and Saturday, benefitted from two days of intense sunshine, with the good weather helping make it a positive event overall - although a bit too much sun was had by some.
Lots of sun on the outdoor area

More than 100 exhibitors presented almost everything that is available on the local work platform, telehandler and crane market. This year’s show saw some new exhibitors including Chinese manufacturer CFMG which showed several tracked scissor lifts.

There were, however, mixed feelings about the number of visitors and business conducted - as is often the case with specialist exhibitions. Some exhibitors mentioned they felt it had been 'quiet' and 'slow' with others commenting on how productive it was. In total the organisers reported 1,500 trade visitors and total attendance of around 2,400.

The Friday evening networking event certainly encouraged mingling amongst customers and competitors with the help of an open bar and 'Schnapps taxi' doing laps of the party. No one can deny the folks in the cranes and access fraternity know how to party. There were certainly a few sore head and late arrivals on Saturday morning!

We will add a full pictorial report during the week.

Platformers' Days 2024 will take place again in Karlsruhe on September 6th and 7th.
