BKL moves into installation

German crane and heavy transport company Baukran Logistik is setting up a new division to provide an industrial installation and commissioning service.

The Munich based company announced the initiative yesterday, stating that its new operation will add the new turnkey service to now include dismantling, moving and reassembling industrial production lines and equipment as well as offering follow on services, such as machinery and equipment repair contracts.
Transporting equipment

Chief executive Jörg Hegestweiler said: "Our strength lies in moving loads and positioning them accurately. Not just transporting and installing industrial machinery and industrial plants, but also assembling them at their destination is the logical consequence in taking our services to the next level. As a step in our expansion plan, BKL's one stop service now gives our industry customers even greater peace of mind."
Carrying out operations during the night

BKL run a fleet of 500 tower cranes, 100 mobile cranes and more than 20 mobile self-erecting tower cranes, along with loader cranes and a wide range of transport equipment. Based in Munich it operates from seven locations with 333 employees.
