The handover

managing director and company owner Csaba Balogh said: "Many new factories are being built here and there is strong demand from steel erectors where heavy lifts at long radii are required. We are also planning to use the LTM 1450-8.1 for the assembly of tower cranes. In addition, many buildings in Budapest are now above 70 metres in height. The long boom of the LTM 1450-8.1 is perfect here. And we also feel that our customers expect the latest crane technology from us."

.
"If a crane can't work, the entire construction site comes to a standstill. Liebherr cranes are very reliable and retain their value particularly well. The service provided here in Hungary is excellent. We greatly appreciate the support from Liebherr's service partner Pointed . We also want the latest technology. We have therefore already placed orders for two more Liebherr cranes, a 230 tonne LTM 1230-5.1s and a 300 tonne LTM 1300-6.3".

Mamut Daru was established in 2004 and is based in Eger, around 130 kilometres east of Budapest, today it runs a fleet of 63 tower cranes along with 15 All Terrain and truck cranes, and a 100 tonne telescopic crawler, with 75 employees. Over its first 13 years the company only purchased used cranes but switched to new cranes in 2017. This year, it has already taken a 100 tonne Liebherr LTR 1100 telescopic crawler crane, along with 230 tonne LTM 1230-5.1 and 300 tonne LTM 1300-6.3 mobile cranes.
