Spanish maritime company Ership has taken delivery of a 200 tonne Konecrane Generation 6 ESP.9B mobile harbour crane.
The ESP.9B offers a maximum radius of 61 metres, and has a four rope grab variant with a 74 tonne capacity. It includes the company’s Visumatic crane management and Truconnect telematics systems with electric power options including the power grid or onboard generator.
Alfredo Canibano Ramos of Konecranes said: “We celebrated the 2,000th Konecranes Gottwald Mobile Harbor Crane when we delivered it to Ership in 2019. And now they opted for the best performing crane from us to increase their handling rates. This underlines the strength of our relationship and their trust in the quality of our equipment."
Chief executve of Ership, Gonzalo Alvargonzález added: “We urgently needed a new crane in Gijón to support growing demand, Konecranes was able to deliver the ESP.9B in very short time. This is another reason why we’ve used Konecranes for over 25 years and currently have more than 20 in our fleet.”
Based in Madrid, Ership was established in 1989 from the merger of Transporte, Aduanas y Consignaciones founded in 1927 in Barcelona, and Auxiliar de Transportes Marítimos founded in 1957 in Madrid. The company operates in more than 40 ports worldwide around the Iberian Peninsula, America and South America.
