Dutch international rental group Boels is to acquire Swedish rental company MG Rental, in an all share purchase deal though its Swedish subsidiary Cramo.
MG Rental was established in 2007 by Mattias Mattsson and Göran Grahn who started the business in Ekerö on the south west side of Stockholm. Today the company is wholly owned by Mattson and runs an additional five branches in the greater Stockholm region, including Solna on the north side of the city, Stockholm City, Vårby – south west of the city, Järfälla in the north west and then last December it acquired the Hyreshuset depot in Häggvik, Solentuna, north of Stockholm airport.
The fleet includes aerial lifts from self-propelled to truck mounts and trailer lifts, telehandlers and a wide range of tools and earthmoving equipment.
Cramo chief executive Martin Holmgren said: “Cramo is on a steady growth journey with the support of Boels group. We have a sustainable strategy for how we will continue to be number one in the industry – the acquisition of MG Rental is an important part of that.”
Mattias Matsson added: “Over the years, we at MG Rental have had a good relationship with Cramo and helped the region’s customers in various ways. We think very alike and have the same view of what is important to satisfy customers – there is more that unites us than divides us. It feels very reassuring, and I dare to say that this deal brings great benefits for us, Cramo and our customers.”
