120 tonner for Bob Francis

North wales based Bob Francis crane hire has taken delivery of a 120 tonne Liebherr LTM 1120-4.1 All Terrain.

Due to arrive in first week of March, the four axle crane features a seven section 66 metre main topped by a 10.8 to 19 metre bi-fold swingaway extension. A seven metre extension can be added offering a maximum tip height of more than 94 metres with a maximum radius of 64 metres. The crane is equipped with VarioBase variable outrigger set up and monitoring, and VarioBallast adjustable counterweight.

Gethyn Owen of Bob Francis said: “It’s the most powerful four axle crane on the market. The boom is the longest in this crane class with high lifting capacities when fully raised, increasing its overall flexibility. We’re in the process of expanding our fleet and there’s a huge demand for this type of crane, we’re keen to support our customers.”

Based in Rhuddlan, family run Bob Francis was established in 1982 and now operates from four depots in Rhyl, Chester, Shrewsbury and Anglesey. Its fleet consists of All Terrain cranes, crawlers and loader cranes.
