Diack Bros closes

New Zealand crane rental company Diack Bros siddenly closed its doors at the end of 2023.

The company, managed by Chris, Don and Dean Diack was based in Napier, on Hawkes Bay on the North Island, and was established by the Diack family in 1962 and ran a mixed fleet of mobile cranes, including Franna articulated cranes, Kato truck and city type RTs, Tadano All Terrain and truck cranes to a 220 tonnes ATF220G-5, as well as scissor lifts and fork trucks. The process to sell off the assets, is due to get started shortly.

We have not been able to make contact, but understand that while the decision was a surprise, most, if not all, of the employees found new jobs before the holidays.

We will update this item if and when we learn more.

UPDATE
The entire crane fleet, platforms, transport and lifting gear inventory was acquired by Hawkes bay Crane Hire in a deal apparently concluded on Saturday January 20th, we understand that it has now been implemented.
