Two spiders for Dromad

Irish rental company Dromad Hire has taken delivery of two 20 metre Hinowa Lightlift 20.10 spider lifts.

The 20.10 offers 9.7 metres of outreach, with an up & over height of 8.5 metres and an unrestricted platform capacity of 230kg. The overall stowed dimensions are just over five metres long by 1.3 metres wide or 795mm with the basket removed. Features include one touch outrigger set up, levelling and retraction, auto speed control and extendable tracks.

Powered by lithium-ion batteries, the machine will be used oon a range of applicaitons, from shopping centres, and retail outlets to tree work and construction.

Dromad general manager Ronan Cotter said: “This latest investment will enable us to expand the capability of our offering, not only are these lithium powered machines more efficient but they are environmentally friendly. Key benefits include no emissions, little to no noise and no cables making them ideal for indoor use or in noise sensitive environments outdoors. We will continue to invest in battery and electric technology across our core divisions, as we play our role in moving the industry towards a greener environment.”


Established in 1988, Dromad runs a fleet of around 350 aerial lifts, including more than 20 spider lifts, along with telehandlers, general construction equipment and tools from locations in Dublin and Dundalk.
