65ft telescopic for JCB

JCB will unveil an all new 65ft telescopic boom lift – the T65D at the ARA Show in New Orleans next week.

The company has not disclosed any information on the new machine, but simply listed it among the new products it plans to have on display, which also include a 19ft scissor lift, the S1930ED which one assumes is the electric drive version of its 19ft slab scissor, normally referred to as simply the S1930E.

The 65ft diesel boom, will be the first JCB built telescopic boom lift, and will be manufactured alongside the other JCB access products at one of its plants in India. It will have a working height of 21.5 metres and is expected to feature a dual platform capacity.

Manufactured in India?

So JCB talk about being a great British manufacturer and their opposition to others coming in from China where costs to build are much lower.

Looks like a case of having your cake and eating it.
