US based heavy lift and engineering specialist Engineered Rigging has taken delivery of the first 674 tonne Enerpac SBL600 Super Boom Lift hydraulic gantry system.
The SBL600 was unveiled at the end of 2022 and is now in production, it features a maximum lifting height of 10.6 metres, the four stage - one fixed, three extending - telescopic masts/boom can fold for easier transportation with the entire system fitting on two standard flatbed trucks.
The SBL600 features rectangular booms/masts for increased capacity and lifting height with a first lift stage capacity of 674 tonnes, 562 tonnes on the second and 416 tonnes at the third stage. The jacking units have a folded transport height of 2.25 metres, while each leg weighs nine tonnes, allowing two gantry legs to be transported on a flatbed trailer.
Vice president Mike Beres said: “Engineered Rigging is thrilled to be the first to bring the Enerpac SBL600 to the United States.”
