German rental company Schmid lifting has taken delivery of an 18 metre CMC S18F articulated spider lift.
Launched at Bauma 2022, the S18F features a single riser, three section telescopic boom and articulating jib, providing a maximum working height of 17.78 metres. Maxium outreach is 11.15 metres with 80kg, while the maxium platform capacity of 230kg is available at up to 8.7 metres. Overall weight is 2,495kg and it features a 230 volt electric motor for electric operation and a 12 volt emergency release.
The Schmid employees all received technical and operator training on delivery. The new machine is targeted at customers working in the the tree care and building maintenance sectors.
Schmid Hebebühnenverleih is based in Munich with depots in Augsburg and Landsberg from which it runs a fleet of aerial work platforms, spider cranes, trailer cranes and telehandlers. It promotes itself as ‘Green Schmid’ and is working to convert its entire fleet to the most environmentally friendly equipment. Schmid is also a member of the PartnerLift the German association of independent rental companies.
