A hurricane force storm hit Houston, Texas, on Thursday evening causing two cranes to overturn at the Sesco Cement in the city, killing the driver of a waiting cement mixer truck. A second truck was involved in the incident, but the falling boom thankfully missed its cab.
The man who died was 72 and was sitting in his cab, when the storm ripped through the area, overturning a lattice crawler crane rigged with what looks like a luffing jib. Sadly, the falling boom demolished the truck cab, the driver was declared dead at the scene.
