US based Herc Rentals has acquired Durante Rentals of New York, with locations in New York, New Jersey and Delaware.
Durante was established by John Durante and Christopher Jones in 2009, and offers a range of equipment, including aerial work platforms and telehandlers. It has expanded rapidly over the past 15 years through organic growth and a couple of acquisitions.
The company now operates from five locations in New York, including the HQ in New Rochelle, plus Astoria, the Bronx, West Nyack and Carme, a branch in Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey and four locations in Delaware - Wilmington/New Castle, Smyrna, Georgetown and Delmare. The Delaware branches trade under the Iron Source branding, which Durante acquired last May.
A company statement says: “Our approach was to challenge ourselves and our team with always building on the day before, and never settling for ‘what everyone else does’, We attribute our success to clear communication, respect for one's self, as well as coworkers and customers, superior customer service, and an ‘old school’ way of doing business, coupled with cutting edge ideas and technology.”
