Raimondi has supplied Five 14 tonne LR213s luffing jib tower cranes for work on two new hi rise residential blocks in Dubai.
The new cranes have been Installed over the past couple of months, and currently have freestanding heights of 45 metres with jib lengths ranging between 44.5 and 55 metres. Four of the five luffers will be climbed to reach heights of 145 and 190 metres. Equipped with a 55kW winch with 880 metres of wire rope storage, and single line speeds of up to 104 metres a minute.

The cranes will remain on site for between 18 and 22 months with the Raimondi Middle East technicians providing onsite support throughout including help with the climbing and the dismantling process.
Raimondi Middle East general manager Wael Hasan said: “The LR213 has been selected to meet the specific requirements of the project’s contractor, ensuring timely and safe execution, while avoiding collision and over sailing of surrounding properties, making it ideal for high rise construction in densely populated areas.”

The new development is located at the intersection of downtown Dubai and the Business Bay includes 1,030 residential units across two towers.
