Access Link expands

The Access Link, the UK association of independent regional access rental companies has admitted two new members: - Charles Wilson Engineers and Lifterz.

The two new additions were confirmed at the Links meeting late last week at IPAF headquarters in Milnthorpe.

Charles Wilson will add capacity and coverage in London, South East England, Liverpool and Manchester while recently formed Lifterz will add coverage in Yorkshire.

Lifterz is owned by the Bowers family, Malcolm Bowers was a founder member of the Link with his company AFI, which he later sold to a Management Buy In led by David Shipman.

The Link meeting included presentations by senior IPAF officials: Tim Whiteman, Rupert Douglas-Jones, Giles Councell and Gil Male.

All members attending the meeting were members of IPAF and expressed a keen desire to obtain the IPAF Rental Plus Quality Status. AJ Access and Peter Hird having already achieved this status.

The link now comprises 17 member companies, with a combined fleet of 3,800 units.

The members include: Plantfinder, ES Access, AJ Access, 2 Cousins Access, Peter Hird, Midland Access, Elavation, Orion Access, Light Hire, Highway Plant, North East Access, Skyhigh Access, Skylift Hire, High Level Access, Charles Wilson and Lifterz.

The Links next meeting will be held at Tanfield Headquarters in Washington.
