Earlier this year, two men cycled 2,400km across Europe, visiting three Liebherr production plants.
Loïc Flochlay, a commercial manager at SOMTP, a Liebherr dealer in Bretagne and his customer Alexandre Leroux, managing director of Liziard, set off on their ‘Liebherr Europe Tour’ from Quimper, Brittany to Vienna.
The idea for the tour began when Liziard was considering some new Liebherr equipment and Flochlay joked that the production facilities were so close they were just a 'bike trip away!' Inspired by this, Leroux decided to go ahead with the deal and join Flochlay on a bike ride to Liebherr earthmoving plants in France and Austria.
From May 31st to June 7th, they visited three Liebherr facilities: the tracked excavator plant in Colmar, France, the tracked bulldozer plant in Telfs, Austria and the wheel loader plant in Bischofshofen, Austria.
Based in Brittany and founded in 1937, Liziard employs 100 staff operating in construction, civil engineering, asbestos removal and demolition.
