UK based commercial vehicle sales and service company Mac’s Truck Sales has relocated its rental division to a separate building after outgrowing the available space at company headquarters in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. The move is a step towards national coverage.
The new base is in Outlane in Huddersfield, the location where Mac's was originally founded. The building has been revamped and includes office space, a customer handover area and upgraded workshops for maintaining its fleet of 200 vehicles. There are currently five team members working in the rental division, with more joining shortly.
Jeff Wright, sales director said: “The new site is key to helping us expand our footprint and be better placed for full UK coverage, with our depots in the North West, Perthshire, and a new southern hub coming in 2025. Compared to the more traditional truck rental companies, we have the ability to design and build market leading truck bodies to stock chassis, plus access a wide range of in-stock ready to rent vehicles, allowing us to rapidly respond to our customers’ needs and give them exactly what they need rather than just giving them a standard truck.”
Head of rental, Gerard Dockrell added: “This investment is already transforming our service capabilities, with faster turnarounds, enhanced call handling, and advanced workshop facilities, ensuring we continue to raise the bar in the industry. We’ve also expanded our workforce with local talent, and plan to grow further as we continue on this exciting path.”
Established in the 1970’s and based in Huddersfield, Mac’s trucks is one of the largest family run new and used truck dealerships in the UK.
